Our goal is to translate the mechanisms of tissue regeneration into commercially feasible therapies in order to improve human health. We apply a multi-disciplinary approach for the development of cohesive therapeutic platforms, the design of engineered tissues, the study of cell-microenvironment interactions, and the fabrication of materials to modulate the immune and wound healing response.
Our studies have direct application in the fields of biomaterials, tissue engineering, drug delivery, applied immunology, and regenerative medicine particularly in cardiovascular and soft tissue repair applications, but these technologies could also be engineered for the treatment of other diseased tissues.
